What the dark streaks on a roof are
A roof in humid Louisiana shows its trouble from the street. Asphalt shingles go dark in long streaks, tile roofs pick up growth, and metal roofs show rust. The three look nothing alike, and they are cleaned differently.
What you see from the curb is growth and staining on the surface, and a soft wash is built to lift exactly that.

Soft wash, plants wet, gutters covered
Tiger Wash soft washes roofs, and never puts high pressure on shingles. The crew works as a two-man team and doesn't blast its way across the slope.
The gutters are protected while the roof is washed. Plants below are pre-wet and kept wet, potted ones are moved with a photo taken first, and tarps go up when they're needed. You don't have to be home. The crew needs a water source, usually your spigot.
Chapter 03
Spring, and why the shaded slope comes back first
Spring is the best season for most homes, once the pollen settles and before the summer growth. Streaks tend to return first on the shaded slopes, the slopes that sit in shade.
For timing, Tiger Wash's general guidance on exterior washing is every 1 to 1.5 years, and humid New Orleans can need it twice a year. Plan the roof around that schedule, not the other way around.
