About Tiger Wash

Two New Orleans natives and a long wall of mildew.

Tiger Wash was founded by two former LSU students who grew up in New Orleans. Their motto is the whole pitch:

Smiling faces and shining places.

Here is how the crew works, and what it stands behind.

Two people on every job, and a phone that picks up.

Technicians come in 2-man teams. They move the porch furniture, pre-wet the plants and work the property from the gutters down. Customers don’t need to be home; the crew only needs a spigot and access to every exterior side of the house.

Reviewers name Chris and Dave by first name. Tiger Wash is available for work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which suits storefronts that can only be washed while they’re closed.

Four badges, and what is behind each.

These four words sit on the homepage. Here is what each one means in practice, and where you can check it against what customers wrote in the reviews.

  • LICENSED/INSURED

The company carries a multi-million dollar insurance policy, so a crew on your ladder or in your lot is covered.

  • SOFT WASH

Low-pressure cleaning is the method for vinyl, stucco, brick and roofs, and the only one used on historic homes.

  • EXPERIENCED

Tiger Wash puts it at over 8 years in business, across houses, churches, plazas and storefronts.

  • DEPENDABLE

Free estimates are typically scheduled within 1 to 3 business days, and the phone is staffed around the clock.

Soft wash for the oldest houses, and a promise about your plants.

Historic homes in the Garden District, Uptown and the French Quarter get a soft wash and nothing harder. High pressure lifts old paint and pushes water behind it; low pressure and the right cleaner lift the mildew and leave the finish alone.

On plants, Tiger Wash’s own line is that it has yet to damage a plant or garden in over 8 years in business. This is how:

  1. 1

Potted plants. Moved out of the spray, with a before photo so they go back where they were.

  2. 2

In-ground plants. Pre-wet and kept wet through the whole wash.

  3. 3

Beds that can't be moved. Covered with tarps when the job calls for it.

From the ladder to the lot

The work, top of the property down.

A house gets worked from the gutters to the concrete. A plaza gets worked in passes. Here are four frames of it.
